ASMPH PCHRD HeartNovation Hub Project

The HeaRTNovation Hub (HHub), spearheaded by the Ateneo Center for Research and Innovation (ACRI) at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH), is set to become the University’s home for health innovation. Funded by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Hub positions ASMPH among the country’s pioneers in building a dedicated ecosystem for health research and innovation.

The one-year grant is more than just seed support—it marks the institutionalization of health innovation at Ateneo. Through the Hub, ACRI aims to create a platform where ideas can move beyond academic output and evolve into tangible solutions for real-world health challenges.

A Platform for Innovation

The HeaRTNovation Hub will:

Why It Matters

Innovation in health care often struggles to bridge the gap between research and practice. By creating a formal hub, ASMPH and ACRI are ensuring that health innovation is not a side effort but a core mission—supported by structures, resources, and partnerships. The Hub will not only nurture homegrown technologies but also strengthen collaborations across academia, industry, and the community.

The HeaRTNovation Hub is a first step toward making ASMPH a national leader in health innovation—where ideas are cultivated, accelerated, and translated into solutions that improve lives.
